Sectorspace.org recruits volunteers to help its charities and voluntary group members develop a website. Volunteer projects range from creating simple HTML to complex content management systems.
Motivation:
The Volunteer Web Design programme was created due to the vast number of charities, voluntary organisations and other third sector groups in dire need of a website to help get the word out about their cause.
For the volunteer, donating your skills translates into a meaningful real-world design experience. In addition to an opportunity to build your portfolio, sectorspace.org's designers also realize that they are helping very worthy causes.
