Programme Guidelines
The sectorspace.org volunteer web and graphic design programme is open to all people over the age of 16, regardless of nationality, religion or gender. Broad guidelines for the consulting programme can be found on our Consulting Services page.
Volunteers must adhere to following programme requirements:
- Read our membership terms and make sure any work you are asked to do meets those guidelines.
- Communicate with volunteer coordinator with respect to project completion and hours worked on individual project items.
- Communicate effectively throughout the design process about your availability, skills, best way to reach you, etc.
- A minimum of 5 hours per week should be spent on your volunteer commitment.
- Only take on what you can handle or are willing to learn.
- Make your BEST effort in everything you do.
- Contact sectorspace.org before you decide to drop a client*.
- DO NOT advise them on fiscal or legal matters (direct all of these types of questions to sectorspace.org and we will point them to the right resource).
- DO NOT help them set up an internal way for them to accept money over the internet (i.e. taking credit card information themselves rather than going through PayPal, etc.)
- DO NOT use copyrighted or trademarked material on their site unless they own the copyright or trademark.
- All clients must have a banner or link to sectorspace.org on the home page of their website.**
- Always contact sectorspace.org for additional support, information, or with questions about the process.
*In the event that you feel you must drop a client please contact us to discuss your rationale. Be as detailed as you can so that we may asses the best solution for our client and you.
**Banners are available here. They can be replaced with a text link too.
